DiCro acts as a site management CRO. We develop primary care centres into research-active clinical trial sites. Our lead collaborating site, Elliott Hall Medical Centre (EHMC), is a NIHR funded primary care clinical trial unit (CTU) delivering commercial clinical trials of Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs) and digital health products. We offer clinical trial participation to patients, offering early access to innovative trial treatments.
EHMC is an active recruiting site for AZURE-Outcomes, a Phase III cardiovascular outcomes trial sponsored by AstraZeneca, evaluating an investigational oral cholesterol-lowering therapy for reducing major adverse cardiovascular events in patients with established atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) or at high risk of a first ASCVD event. As a primary care CTU, we are able to identify, recruit, and manage eligible patients directly from our existing patient population.
